What is CrossFit?
Greg Glassman, its inventor, defined Crossfit as: ‘Constantly Varied, Functional Movements executed at High Intensity across Broad Time and Modal Domains’.
But to put it simply, CrossFit is the perfect program for anyone wanting to improve their health and lifestyle; whether your goal is to lose weight, gain muscle, or even to improve your state of mind, we can help.
Crossfit is perfect for individuals who love a challenge, get bored by traditional routines, and enjoy learning new skills. No two days are ever the same!
While we take what we do very seriously, we we are not so serious that we cannot laugh at ourselves and have FUN. The community at CrossFit Hastings is what sets us apart. You will always be encouraged and have someone else supporting and cheering you on, regardless of whether you are learning how to do a body weight squat, or you are squatting your body weight!

CrossFit Kids
Primary School Aged Children
The CrossFit Kids program, first and foremost, provides children with a portion of their prescribed physical activity in a fun and engaging format. The goals of the CrossFit Kids program however, are more far reaching in the short as well as the long term. For example, one intent is to have children learn the points of performance of foundational movements that have universal application; developing motor recruitment pathways, ensuring safe and efficient movement now as well as into the future. Along the way, what they do and how they feel because of it will provide them a definition of what fitness is and means to them.
CrossFit Kids classes also provide an opportunity to hone life skills such as perseverance and working hard, acknowledging personal responsibility, accepting feedback, working with others, following rules, and exhibiting etiquette.
Our qualified CrossFit Kids coach runs classes Monday and Wednesday at 4:00pm.Your first week of CrossFit Kids is complimentary, so enquire below to bring your little ones in to give a go!
